PEACHTREE PARK
ABOUT PEACHTREE PARK
Peachtree Park is a lovely historic pocket nestled in the heart of Buckhead’s bustling commercial center. Storybook cottages line quiet streets….but look up and you see the glittering towers of Peachtree Road nearly overhead.
The popular historic neighborhood has preserved its welcoming peaceful atmosphere as the city builds around it. Through-streets that once connected shoppers to Lenox Mall and Peachtree Street have been closed to car traffic, but still maintain pedestrian walkways for easy walking access…that means no traffic in the neighborhood!
Adjacent Lenox Mall puts on one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast, and the entire Peachtree Park neighborhood gathers to enjoy them together. Other fun events include the 4th of July Kids Parade, Easter egg hunt, community garden, and Peachtree Park 5k race.
LIVING IN PEACHTREE PARK
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Peachtree Park is a popular neighborhood of single-family homes and duplexes dating primarily from the 1920s and 1930s. With the neighborhood surrounded by dense commercial development and major transportation arteries, it’s no surprise the area is often described as an island within the city. Residents in this active community enjoy abundant green space and walking trails along with countless neighborhood festivals and activities throughout the year. Home styles range from cottages and bungalows to Colonial Revivals and ranches.

THINGS TO DO IN PEACHTREE PARK
Next time you’re passing through the Peach State, do yourself a favor and meander down Peachtree Street. We don’t mean just any Peachtree Street, either; while Atlanta (and much of Georgia) is crawling with “Peachtree Streets,” the one we recommend is the capital city’s main drag.
Wander along this street to partake in local history, tasty Southern grub, and the sort of community feeling you wouldn’t expect in a big city. So set aside your Netflix and step outside—whether you’re just hanging out in the Westin Peachtree Plaza between business meetings or making a point to get to know the neighborhood, you’ll find plenty of things to do on Peachtree Street.
